Taiji quan is an „internal Chinese martial art“, which means „energy work“ on the inside, literally: supreme ultimate boxing. It’s practiced both for its defense training and its health benefits.

It’s often respected to achieve greater longevity. As a result, a multitude of training forms exists. Today Tai chi is mostly based on one of the most famous five traditional schools: Chen style, Yang style, Wu(Hao) style and Sun style. We are practicing here Wu(Hao) style, which belongs to the school of relatively slow movements.

The forms consist often of more than 90 movements which need to be memorized while training. It leads to great mental calmness, improvement of concentration and balance improves in the body.
